If you’re hosting a party and you want to incorporate squares as part of the fun, you can set your bracket up near the entrance and let your guests buy in and select their squares when they arrive. Collect people’s money ($1 per square is kind of the standard, and I’d limit people to 10 squares and have at least 10 people playing to make it more fun) and you can coordinate everything through, or you can take responsibility for filling out the bracket with assigned squares and keeping track of everything. If you want to play online, everything can be done remotely. It’s pure luck, and anyone can participate. Invite your friends, family, colleagues - playing squares doesn’t require any level of football knowledge or any specific skill. If you’re running your own squares game, you’re going to need people to play squares with you otherwise you’re just winning back your own money and there’s not actually any competition. You can make your own, or you can download this free version from. You need a 10x10 grid with 100 total squares. Here’s everything you need to know to set up the game, draw or assign numbers, and figure out the winners. You can spice up your Super Bowl party and maybe even win a little money with Super Bowl squares. Please check your local gambling laws for information on the legality of wagering money on office pools. The Chiefs are taking on the Eagles this Sunday in Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Ariz., but that doesn’t have to be the only hot competition taking place this weekend. *Our grids are intended for entertainment purposes only. Once again to avoid problems make sure all of this is discussed before the game begins. Be sure to discuss what is going to be done in case of an overtime, some people will just ignore the overtime score, some people will substitute the overtime score for the 4th quarter, and others will declare 5 winners. You will follow this step for all four quarters. Go to the top row of numbers and find the number 7(last digit of 17) then go to the left column of numbers and find the number 4(last digit of 14) find where these two numbers intersect on the grid and the name in that square wins the first quarter. Now is time for the fun!! Begin watching the game, at the end of each quarter match the last digit of each teams score with the grid.Įxample: At the end of the first quarter the team listed at the top has 17 and the left column team has 14. After that is complete you will redraw the numbers, this time placing the drawn numbers in the gray square boxes in the left column, starting at the top.Įxample 1: Write the numbers 0-9 on pieces of paper and place them in a hat.Įxample 2: Get a deck of cards A through 10, the ace represents a one, the 10 represents a 0, 2-9 are face value
After determining the drawing method, draw the numbers one at a time placing the numbers from left to right starting with the first gray square box in the top row, continue across the top row until the numbers are gone.
This can be done in many ways, listed below are 2 examples. Once all the squares are full it is time to set up the drawing.
If you think you will be unable to fill the entire grid check out our 25 square grid and 50 square grid. Take the grid around to family, friends, and co-workers, having each participant place their name in the square or squares of their choice. It does not matter which team goes on which line, as long as it is done before the rest of the office pool takes place. Print the square grid from above and fill in the two blank lines beside the word "Team", with the two teams that will be playing. The grid above allows you to edit the team names, so it can be used for any game of the season. There is no difference between the gird above and the Super Bowl Squares that you use every year for the big game.
